2019 RMPC Grant Award Recipients
Dear RMPC Chaplains
It was with great excitement that the 2019 RMPC Grant Award Application was introduced at the Rocky Mountain Police Chaplain annual meeting. Three very deserving departments were awarded the $1000, $750, and $500 awards. We thank all those who submitted applications, and for all those who continue to strive for excellence in "serving those who serve others".
The award recipients are as follows: $1000 JeffCom, $750 Broomfield Police Department, and $500 Estes Park Police Department.
JeffCom will be using their award to attend this years Colorado Organization for Victims Assistance conference to introduce chaplaincy to new departments, and foster chaplaincy relationships with others.
The Chaplains at the Broomfield Police Department are setting out to have 100 "Conversations of Influence". They will be using their award to meet with up to 100 officers and support staff for a conversation over coffee. They are being intentional about building relationship, and hearing every voice.
The Estes Park Police Deportment Chaplains will be using the award to donat to the Estes Park K9 program. By donating the award money to this program, they are adding value to the department by supporting a community need. The department is currently is a pubic fundraising campaign to raise the $80k needed to fund this program.
Congratulations to all the award recipients. Your dreaming and striving for excellence is an example to us all as we continue the "serve those who serve others."
May God's blessing be on all your service,
Scott Moore
